Silver tone multicolored earrings

I bought these online and I didn’t realize how large they are. They’re silver tone with a fishhook your wire. They are very nice movement with a cute little accent of multicolored beads in the center. The actual teardrop itself measures over an inch and a half. With why is there an inch at the widest point.
