Sterling Silver Belt Buckle with 3 Kingman Arizona Mine Turquoise Nuggets signed "RLB" Robert & Bernice Leekya. Zuni. This wonderful Belt Buckle was made by the famous Zuni couple Robert & Bernice Leekya. They have been creating their Sterling Turquoise Cluster Nugget pieces since the 1960's. Their work can be found in countless museums and galleries. It can also be found in all the major Native Jewelry catalogs and reference books. The Buckle is stamp signed with the correct Hallmark "RLB STERLING" on the back of the Buckle. I have found no defects. This amazing Belt Buckle is full of character and will be recognized by many people. When you take a look at the pictures, please inspect the Buckle carefully. It has 3 Kingman Turquoise stones that are expertly set and in a very pleasing design. It is a design motif that they have used many times over the years and very similar buckles can be found, Dimensions 3.0" X 2.11" will accept a belt of up to 1.25" (all measurements are approximate). Although this could be worn as a men's dress belt, I think it is more delicate and made for a women's belt. Could also be worn as a brooch or barrette with slight modification. This artist's work is getting harder and harder to find as Robert passed away in 2019. A legend in the world of Native American art.
