Signed Lyman Byxbe Etching “In the Canyon.” Etching is framed and has provenance written on it back (see photos). Here’s more information about the artists: Lyman Byxbe: (1886-1980) was an American artist known for his etchings of the Rocky Mountains. He was born in Illinois but spent much of his life in Nebraska and Colorado. Byxbe was a self-taught artist who learned the art of etching from an Omaha architect, Mark Levings. He moved to Estes Park, Colorado in the late 1930s and continued to create art there for the next 50 years. Byxbe's work is often characterized by its detailed depiction of the natural landscape and its use of light and shadow
