This is the required shipping upgrade for the Franklin Mint Titanic Rose Doll trunk. For packages that weigh more than 5 lbs, a shipping upgrade is needed, which comes out of the seller’s earnings, but with the customer’s purchase of this upgrade, I don’t have to lose so much of my earnings. I am requiring this extra cost from the buyer. One of the reasons I want to have this as a separate listing from the trunk is to make it clear to the buyer that this is to help recover most of the shipping charges (so I don’t have to lose extra funds due ro selling a heavier item and packing it well). Posh sellers are requested not to sell items over 10 lbs (see FAQs - I have included screenshots of this information) the trunk is about 8 lbs and the box/packing with it is about 3 lbs, so I might need to lose some weight on the custom box to get it down to 10lbs. For the 10 lb package, the extra seller-fee would be $22.50 - which I am rounding up to $23, and passing to the buyer. If I understand correctly, Poshmark gets 20% of this listing too ($2.30 + $ 2.30 = $4.60), which means an additional $4.60 will have to come out of my earnings as well - after Poshmark gets the allotted 20%. So, out of this shipping upgrade listing, $4.60 goes to Poshmark and $18.40 goes to extra shipping charges, and I will have to pay that additional $4.60 for shipping on my end.
