@lacigoodwin Most formal evening dresses’ size charts run smaller than the normal clothing size charts. My height is 5 feet 10 in. and for a normal casual dress I wear a size 6, however I found that for prom dresses my size was 12. The only alterations I had done was the length as even with my tall height/heels it was still going to drag on the floor. I wore 1.5 inch heels when measurements were done. After alteration, the length from the waistline to the bottom (skirt) ended up being 46 in..
