Sheila’s Collectibles Sessions House 1888: Los Angeles CA

This signed Sheila house was patterned after the Sessions House in Angelino Heights, a residential neighborhood not far from downtown Los Angeles. Its design is still very much in the Queen Anne tradition. It is a signed piece dated 1993. There are some scuff marks on the back of the house. It has been lovingly displayed on a shelf in my house for many years. No box. Sheila's Houses are little wooden houses created by the artist Shelia Thompson. Each house is patterned after an actual house in the United States. On the back of the house is the house’s name, location, some history of the house, Sheila’s signature, and when it was made. If it is a limited edition, that will also be noted. Most were made in the 1990’s. They are also known as shelf or ledge sitters.
