dnacht FYI - that looks like shearling. Shearling is a much more durable fur than sheared beaver. It's a little less soft but probably warmer. If it is incredibly soft like silk it's beaver. Shearling is INCREDIBLY hardy and also probably more expensive second hand because beaver tends to get damaged easily if people don't take their coat off before sitting. I hope I haven't offended you!

keldog34 Hello, Can you confirm that this is a jacket from J. Percy for Marvin Richards? If so, I believe that the lining, while super soft, is actually faux fur. The sleeves are not usually lined with the soft faux fur on this particular jacket. I am interested in this jacket, however, my offer would be slightly lower for faux fur that it would be for Sheared Beaver. Let's make a deal. Thank you.
