Do these sit on the hips or are they higher rise?

@kassiegunter Hi, these are about 1” higher than what I consider to be be mid rise. These have an 8.5” rise. Some consider this rise to be mid rise, but when I wear these, the height is just barely above my hips. I debated whether to call these mid or high rise.
