Set of four vintage/antique tobacco tins

The first tin is a vintage Briggs tobacco tin, circa 1950s, is a must-have for any collector of tobacciana. Made by P. Lorillard Company, established in 1760 in the United States, shows a 3-cent tobacco tax stamp from the State of Maine. Tax stamps like this one were used to indicate that taxes on tobacco products had been paid. The second is a vintage Edgeworth extra high-grade plug slice smoking tobacco tin from Larus & Bro. Co. in Richmond, VA. Larus & Brother Company was founded in 1877 and incorporated in 1900. The Edgeworth brand was introduced in 1903, and tins like this were common around the early 20th century. Approximately 4 3/8" wide, 1 1/8" thick, and 3 1/4" tall. The third tin is a very old Union Leader tin that measures approx. 3" x 4" x 7/8" thick. Tin is empty. Condition is fair to good with surface rust, paint loss and small dents as seen in photos. Nice display tin especially on one side. Good graphics and patina for its age. The fourth tin is a well-preserved Edgeworth tobacco tin with hinged flip-top lid. 3.5-ounce size measuring 4-1/2 inches tall by 3-1/2 inches wide by 1-1/2 inches thick. Circa 1920-1940.
