Set of 8 Vintage Vu-lon Ware Litho Glass Inc. Renoir Glassware MCM tumblers. Vintage Vu-Lon Ware Plastic Coated Shatter Proof Bar Ware Mid Century Kitsch Vu-Lon began producing shatterproof / insulated glassware in the late 1960s/early 1970s. They featured artwork, tall ships, and other interesting decorations. The selling point was that they are essentially shatterproof, at a time when Americans began to consider drinking by a swimming pool a useful indulgence. Stand 6 3 1/4 inches, 2 1/2 inches at mouth, and 2 1/4 at foot. Capacity is about 15 ounces to rim. Excellent vintage glasses for a retro bar. Perfect for your Francophile lounge. There are no chips, repairs , excellent condition, though the plastic coating is more colored that original.
