Hard to find Vintage MCM Jonas Roberts hand painted decorated coffee mugs, Set Of Four Each of these Studio Art Stoneware mugs hold 8oz each, and are 3.75 high x3.75 wide. The leaf design is hand decorated by a technique called slip (or slipware). It is a way to add a tasteful artistic design, dimension and raised texture, making each of these mugs a little piece of art. You can use them every morning for coffee or tea, or just display them for their beauty. resulting in decorative black paint being raised. No chips or cracks, but there is some crazing on the inside on a couple of them from normal use. And there is a scuff mark on the brown one toward the top that you can see in the photo. My guess is that it can be buffed out pretty easily. DESIGN: Organic leaf artwork, each with its own harmonious earth tone color. UNIQUE SHAPE: Rounded bottom portion, and flare at top. The handle is squarish, and feels balanced in your hand SAFE: The mug is made of stoneware and food-safe glaze. QUALITY: Artisan made, with high quality materials, made in Japan.
