dianelsims Two questions please: is the color more purple or a burgundy and second is there any stretch in the sleeves (upper arm area)? Interested in the 16W. Thank you.

vintageham @dianelsims The tag says the color is plum. I am really having trouble giving an exact color — I will say that the photo is very accurate in my opinion. The sleeves are very stretchy.

vintageham @dianelsims I purchased several sizes from David’s Bridal and was unaware they have a strict seven day return policy. David’s Bridal still sells the dress in 16W at a much higher price. If you’re unsure about the color or fit, I’d recommend trying it at David’s Bridal and returning it (within seven days!). It’s a beautiful, fun dress. If I can do anything else to make it easier, like providing more photos, please let me know!

dianelsims Thank you, could you please post closeup pictures of the top and bottom, *just looking at the color too be sure, as I was given burgundy as my dress color (as brides mom is wearing a purple).

vintageham @dianelsims I can ship it immediately. I’m still adding photos but wanted to respond since you said it’s time sensitive. The color is tough and I don’t want to lead you astray so I’m trying to photograph it quickly and in different lights, with other colors next to it so you can get an idea. It appears to photograph burgundy but the color is more vibrant in person. I would say it’s burgundy with a drop of violet in it.

vintageham @dianelsims I really hope you love it and the color is right for the event. I looked it up and plum is described as “red purple” so I hope it’s the more reddish color you need. I will say that the first David’s Bridal photo was totally accurate in my opinion and we bought it also wanting a burgundy dress. I know how challenging it is to find an evening gown online and in a time constraint.
