marina_dee Yeah, I don’t think these people are worthy of your creations... no offense to anyone else reading this, but as a jewelry maker I know what it’s like & not a lot of people truly cherish the handmade/one of a kind factor like they should!

fancytiger24 @marina_dee i agree. They don’t. But why would you want to buy mass produced pieces that everyone has when you can buy a one of a kind piece that only you have. That’s my take. As I tell my 8 year old daughter “be a leader, not a follower” 😉😊

marina_dee Girl, I just had a flash vision & I really think you could easily become a famous jewelry designer one day. It almost happened to me without even trying a few years back... you know that trend of gold leaf painted feathers? Ummm, that was my doing, girl. I made a bunch & dropped them off in boutiques from SF to LA, put a pair in Margaret Cho’s ears (as seen on the Daily Show) & my phone lit up like a hotline & within a year I saw knockoffs of my design in Michael’s.

marina_dee I’m gonna start dreaming for you because you got the creativity & style that’s def needed for this role! The only problem is keeping up with production! You should add a couple hundred dollars to these asking prices, too. My feathers wholesaled at $75 each, bb. You need to make enough money so that you’re not making $0.05 hour for each piece!

marina_dee I looooove resin! My jewelry teacher has her masters in it! YO, have you seen what orgonite pyramids sell for tho? Ummm, I don’t see nearly enough small ones as earrings, girl. THOSE COULD SAVE LIVES!!!! Oh & I made a small fortune, girl! I had the gold leaf leftover from a Venetian plaster project that the client paid for. It was like pure profit forreals!

marina_dee TBy the time Michael’s made a knockoffI was already super over it so all I felt was pure glory when I saw their cheap version for sale, ya know? Like, I get to tell people that was all me & how cool is that, tho? You knew exactly what I was talking about... & we only became friends recently! Now I wish I knew you back then tho! Or even better, wish we were friends back when I saw Pink Floyd play live in 1994!
