This Scott McClintock dress is a rare one. If you look at the photos, do you see anything familiar to the popular prairie dresses of the 1980s - 1990s? Well, you would be correct if your hunch is that it is just like a Gunne Sax one. It doesn’t have the Gunne Sax tag but let me tell you the history of the brand. Gunne Sax was created by Jessica McClintock back in the 1970s. She later just used her name in her clothing (1990s - early 2000). In the 1990s, her son Scott started to design dresses with her guidance. This dress was designed by him and it very much resembles Jessica’s early dress styles but with a slight modern twist. Jessica died in early 2000s, but her son has continued to design dresses and other clothing that reflects his mom’s style. This dress is a great example of this. The dress is in like new condition except for one small stain. I believe it is one of his first designs as he was closely following his mom’s early dress styles. It has all over lace and a layered petticoat. There is ruffles on the back. Look like Anne from Green Gables in this sweet dress! It is for the true romantic who loves Victorian style.
