Schmid had such a strong history of hand-crafted, hand-painted gifts, representing many years of legendary Disney tradition. Subsequently, values of their products have risen due to high demand from collectors. This porcelain limited edition music box is from the Mickey Hollywood Collection. It was first issued in 1990, to commemorate the new Disney MGM Studio at Walt Disney World in Florida. Quiet on the set! Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy are rehearsing the big scene for their upcoming blockbustera sure-fire smash hit. This music box captures Minnie the beautiful heroine, Mickey the talented director and Goofy the diligent clapper. Mickey is dressed in his directors outfit sporting his directors hat and megaphone. Minnie is all dressed up. She is the star of the show, wearing a huge pink hat with a white feather. She moves back and forth when wound, showing off her glorious outfit.
