Sankyo wooden music box, vintage (ca1955?), carved flower motif, Edelweiss? tune

Music box is previously owned, vintage and shows minor signs of use -- a couple of small scratches on the top near the carvings (see photos). Otherwise very good vintage condition, the music box plays very well, has not been over-wound. I'm guessing that the box is from the 1950s and also guessing that the tune is Edelweiss from Sound of Music. Made in Japan.
