Is the 14" measurement at the widest part of the calf? These are cute but I'm looking for a 16" calf.

@binaross no, not quite 16” I put them on and measured around the outside calf and posted a new photo so you can look and see what you think.

I have some suede boots that are 16.5" at the calf (which is about 3.5" from the top of these particular boots) and I have about 1/2" of wiggle room. So I can go down to 16" but that's it. So these are just over 15.5"?
And do you think the boot itself is true to size, small, or larger?

@binaross Yeah, that’s what it looks like. I measured the widest part of my calf and it’s 14”, and you can see in the photos that they are slightly loose on me. There’s an elastic gusset (see new photo added). I don’t want to suggest they will be a fit for you; I really don’t know. For me, they feel true-to-size.
