joettethepoet @4amarillo A little background history for your gorgeous Victoria Royal Ltd dress - my great uncle Oscar Montalto, who was the son the famous couturier and furrier of the early 20th century opera stars and my great grandfather, was the founding partner and dress designer of these gorgeous gowns as well as the personal designer for Grace Kelly Princess de Monaco. My mother took me to New York City once to view his gowns on display behind glass with armed guards in front of them.

joettethepoet My father said he would draw Oscar would draw andcwork out his designs on napkins and paper table cloths at restaurants, and leave them behind, which people would collect. Oscar, and his father the late Great Joseph Montalto, raised my father and took him summering with the Ringlings in Sarasota, Fl when he was a child. Oscar was an ingenous designer! Hopefully this little bit of history lends itself to the extraordinary dress of incredible value that you are listing. :)
