STRIKING 1930s' BLACK FELT TILT HAT - VEILING, SEQUINS, FABFIC. FLOWERS FEATHER

This is a truly striking fashion statement from the 1930s'.THIS BLACK FELT TILT HAT CONSISTS OF A ROUND CROWN ADORNED WITH VEILING AND SEQUINS. Attached at the back are two wire rings covered in felt, to hold the hat in a tilted position. At one side there is a small bouquet of light blue fabric flowers with green leaves. From this bouquet there is a black feather that sprays over the crown and falls towards the other side, Stunning! Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these. There is no label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
