Recently, I had an encounter with a buyer. I had provided measurements for a coat - bust, hip, and length. The bust measurement was not helpful to her - she didn't know if the coat would fit around her. She left a comment on the coat, asking if it would fit around her. I was wondering how I could measure for that aside from the bust, hip, and length measurements. I have never measured a coat for depth, but I was willing to learn. I told her that and asked for guidance. I also explained to her that it was 11 PM on the east coast, where I live, and I was ready to retire for the evening, and perhaps I could do the measurement in the morning. She did not like this and told me so in no uncertain terms.
My question to sellers and buyers is this: Should Poshmark sellers be on call 24/7 and answer questions immediately, no matter the time? Should we set alarms on our phones to wake up every 30 or 60 minutes to ensure we are answering questions around the clock? This is a serious question because another time, a few months ago, someone asked me a question at 2 am EST, and I was asleep. I answered the question when I woke up at 7 am EST, but she replied it was "too late" AND that she was awake at 2 am, and I should have been too!
I would love to hear from you - do you think Poshmark sellers should be open for business 24 hours a day? Does Burberry or Free People answer specific questions 24 hours daily, on-demand, and immediately?
