STAR WARS SKETCH CARD / Admiral Ackbar by MATT BUSCH / One Of A Kind 2004 TOPPS

In 2004, Topps released its Star Wars Heritage trading card set featuring cards based on the original cards released for the first three films. Also included were various insert cards including one-of-a-kind sketch cards like this one. Matt Busch is a well-respected artist who has mainly worked with the Star Wars franchise. He has also worked for Coven 13, G.I. Joe, Indiana Jones, Lady Death, Lord of the Rings, Night of the Living Dead, Stranger Things, and Witchblade. He has also created art for bands and music acts like Foo Fighters, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, and Poison. This unique sketch card is of General Ackbar from “Return of the Jedi” who spoke the now-famous line “It’s a trap!”. The card measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches and is in excellent condition except for a rectangular lighter spot near Ackbar’s snout (see photo).
