SOLD-Rare Topaz Jewel Top Cabochon Helena Rubinstein Vintage Lipstick 1950s-SOLD

This is a collectible Helena Rubinstein Stay-Long Lipstick from the early 1950s. These are rare and hard-to-find in any color -- try to find another topaz one! This example still turns, with the original Apple Red lipstick rising from the base tube. The only flaw is a small area on the lower edge of the outer tube that is rubbed off. See the 5th photograph, which shows the small flaw well. (Most jewelry display holders completely cover the bottom section of the lipsticks.) A 1953 advertisement reads: "Madame Rubinstein wasn't content with just having the gem of all lipsticks -- now she also gives STAY-LONG a gem of a case! Cases that are masterpieces of costume jewelry - slim, golden columns crowned with a simulated but fabulous ruby, emerald, coral, turquiose, topaz or sapphire. So stunning. Scoop up several for your Spring wardrobe." To me, the color appears amber, but I'm calling it what Dame Rubinstein did for accuracy! Price adjusted to compensate for the minor flaw.
