vntgevoguefinds @cinderbug ok. Updated pics. 9' wide 12 inches long. When spread it opens to 21', folds into the back pack with lots of compartments. Two big bookbag compartments plus pen holders. One small zippered compartment. Zippered pocket in the back and velcroed compartment in the front with card inserts.. it's amazing! Softest buttery leather you can imagine. If you don't buy I will raise price again. It's really nice. :) I hope this helps :)

cinderbug Your information is wonderful and the backpack is gorgeous but I think it is too small for my daughter's needs. I want to surprise with a nice leather backpack as a gift but the 9" across wouldn't work even for her smallish laptop. Thank you so much for the time you spent on this.
