equestranista I'm trying to find a headstall for a Shetland pony mix...he's much larger than his purebred Shetland buddies who are itty bitty, but his back is approx. at or Slightly above my.bellybutton or waist..so he's about 11ish hh. halter size is pony but Large pony ...do you think this will fit him?

1saddlebredgirl I would think this would fit if he can wear pony size halter but I can measure longest setting if that helps and shortest. I have Saddlebreds with longer heads but very refined so one of mine sometimes cob size needs to be smaller...punch holes etc.

equestranista @1saddlebredgirl I haven't been back out to the barn since writing that question, but he does wear one of those adjustable training halters in 'Pony, Large'-only problem is it doesn't have a browband. I could just measure his head tho right? I may be going out there tomorrow.

equestranista @1saddlebredgirl he's an American Shetland so that's why he's about 10/11 hh (I haven't sticked him, so I'm estimating) while his 2 buddies are much smaller than him-like minis almost with fine bones. He's thicker boned and his head looks more like that of a horse than a pony-there's no fancy little Arab like dish to his face- he looks like a scaled down horse except for his kinda little legs haha (ponies are so fun aren't they?)

1saddlebredgirl @equestranista yes if you could measure browband area if say that would be helpful because the browns is not adjustable but the length of the bridle definitely is. he sounds like a cob would work...as long as he isn't quarter horse head size which I'm doubting. after lunch I will measure this browband for you. 🐴

1saddlebredgirl I swear I had two of these both unused but one I took the tags off to loan to a drill team member but we didn't use it because the team bought matching bridles. if you decide you like it and may want another I can look. I need to clean my tack room inch by inch... this was a crazy year I had to switch horses, disciplines sold jump tack bought dressage and barrel saddles lol. horses keep you looking for stuff😜😁🐴🐴
