Beautiful and authentic Hermes Jige clutch in sumptuous black box calf leather. Blind stamp is an "N" in a circle, which means it's circa 1984. In excellent vintage condition with some scuffs to leather, typical signs of age to leather (see photos) and a few spots where threads have come loose. No deep cracking, peeling, or holes in the leather. Interior shows signs of a past ink spill. It looks to have been thoroughly cleaned, as the stain marks are faint. Open to reasonable offers!

trimmer1972 @toni_18 Yes, the surface is showing some minor cracking. It's next to impossible to find a Jige of this vintage that doesn't have some of that where the leather folds. Thankfully It's not cracked leather, but rather just he top coating over the leather.

trimmer1972 @toni_18 The cracking is of the top coating and not the leather itself--and as I said, it's very common for a Jige of this age. Pretty standard for a vintage bag and vintage Hermes hold their value!

nisab Just fyi I liked this listing several weeks ago and wanted to purchase however unlike most prior to buying I research items both online and in person that ive never owned esp those marked vintage. Without a doubt I can say Hermes has never applied any top coating over their leather items. even all authenticity stamps and logos are embossed into the leather not applied over the top.

trimmer1972 @nisab hi there. I appreciate your input. I have and currently own both new and vintage authentic Hermes items, and this one is authentic, it has likely been polished by a previous owner. This coat of polish doesn't impede the bags function, nor mean that the bag isn't authentic. It is that top coating I'm referring to in my prior response.
