@rckstar423 no. I'm sorry I should've posted that.

@therealsneakerx it’s all good I was just curious.

@rckstar423 if you are interested in purchasing, I'm not 100% sure what size 8y is. It looks like a men's 8 to me

@therealsneakerx do you have a picture of the size tag?
Sep 20Reply

rckstar423
@therealsneakerx I know that a 7y is like an 8 1/2 in women’s. That’s my normal size but Jordan’s that size seem a little snug. Was thinking going up a size might help. Still trying to decide what kind I actually want to get. I definitely like that these have never been worn before though.

@rckstar423 not handy but I can post if you are interested in purchasing. But I'm sure it says"8Y" under US size.

@rckstar423 yes they're brand new. If you want something particular I can get anything. My restorations are accurately rated so anything above a 90 looks like new.

@therealsneakerx oh you restore? I paint customs lol

@rckstar423 cool, so do I. Look at IG with the same name as my Poshmark account

@rckstar423 not a lot of posts. I usually wait until I have absolutely nothing else to do before I look at it but I try to post all of my new merchandise there as well

@therealsneakerx np...hey have you ever done any foamposites? I came across a pair recently and I’m stumped lol. I dunno what I should do with them.

@rckstar423 I pretty much approach every job the same. Clean, strip, prime, paint, seal, and polish. As long as you do every step and figure out how to do it to the material you're using it should come out good. Try some stencils. Random dots and drips. I kinda like graffiti because they have such a big surface. There's an app called Haute. U can use it to get your complimentary colors no matter what you're using. That way it all matches.
Sep 21Reply

rckstar423
@therealsneakerx awesome thank you so much for that. That app sounds like it could help me out a lot!
Sep 21Reply

therealsneakerx
@rckstar423 ya but it only gives you complimentary colors. If you want tonal or analogous you have to look elsewhere.

@rckstar423 waiting for red suede dye delivery. Never used it before. I'm cloning a pair of Raging Bull Retro 5s from Red Suede 5s (aka "Jordan Mistakes"). My favorite part of the whole sneaker thing is the creative part. I wish that was all I had to do..
Sep 21Reply

rckstar423
@therealsneakerx oh wow I bet they are gonna be nice! I haven’t used the suede dye yet. I do use all the other angelus products. Yeah I hate the prep work but love coming up with stuff to put on them!

rckstar423
@therealsneakerx have you used a donor sole yet? I haven’t because I don’t own enough Jordan’s yet lol.

@rckstar423 once. I'll never do it again. I do this for income. The amount of time it takes to do a transplant and finish those shoes isn't worth the time. I don't really make $ on customs or restorations of other people's shoes. The $ comes from when I own the shoes I'm restoring. So doing restorations as a service is just to offer something
Sep 21Reply

rckstar423
@therealsneakerx yeah I feel you on that. I have only restored one pair for someone. The rest have just been ones I own that I fix up. Hey have you found a way to fix up the rubber sole? I know they say you aren’t supposed to paint it but there has to be a way.

@rckstar423 dye and peroxide toner like 40 volume or sole Brite. 1:1. It lasts a while but everything wears off eventually
Sep 21Reply

therealsneakerx
You can use any dye. I like Rit Dye. They have so many colors and it's available anywhere. Dilute blue Rit Dye with vinegar so the color is dissipated period then mix in sole brite. Use that to paint translucent soles and it will give it that blue glow that it loses through oxidation.
