nikki8590 @farmtofash lululemon shorts—from my experience— usually run a size smaller than their leggings (which already run small). Let me know if I can advise you anymore :)

nikki8590 @farmtofash I’m a 4 in leggings and a 4 in shorts. My leggings fit my waist perfectly and isn’t too compressed. If you wear a 6 in leggings and your waist/stomach isn’t compressed too much then I’d say go for it; however, if a size 6 compresses your stomach a lot I would size up in the shorts—especially because these shorts (like most lululemon shorts) are Low Rise. In my experience low rise didn’t cover my belly bump :)
