This is one of 2 sculptures in a set he did of little girls playing Victorian era games. Antoine Nelson, known as Antoine Joseph Van Den Kerckhove, was a Belgian sculptor born in Brussels in 1849 and died in 1910. Born into a family of sculptors, son and pupil of Auguste Van Den Kerckhove, he was active from 1880. He lived in London, then worked in Paris from 1890 to 1910.
