I wanted to show you all how this fits me. This is a size large. I usually wear an XL/XXL and I had to take the Poinciana strappy Maxi in an XXL to fit my boobs. But I love the way this L fits! So, for most people, I’d say to go down 1, probably 2 sizes; the elastic above the boobs is super loose and the waist elastic is pretty loose too. If you do that you’ll be golden! I’m in love with this dress 🥰

lyannawolfgirl I’m glad I could be of help! Honestly the L fits great, but I’m like super sensitive to things rubbing on my upper torso skin, and I’ve got a good mama belly goin 😉 so I decided to size up to XL, which I bought in the blush to try, and it’s a bit loose but I like loose as long as there’s definition at waist. But honestly the L works great on me too! I wish there was a size between L and XL in this 😉 but your sizing can just depend on what you prefer and how big your bust/waist is! 😊

lyannawolfgirl FYI my bust is 46” and waist is 41”, and the L was pretty accurate, just a tiny bit tight... for my preferences. But as you can see from the pics, the L is basically the right fit! So you can go from those measurements (if you’re anywhere close, and I know most people are way smaller than me)!

lyannawolfgirl @geminimkay yay you will love the skirt! It’s loose but I like my xxl because I can tighten it but it’s super comfy when I’m sitting too. I love that and the blouse together tho the blouse itself is really short, I won’t wear it alone, only tucked into skirt. I also love the gown, the L is perfect for me, and yeah I loooove the strappy. This strappy w the mustard short kimono over like a jacket is a gorgeous outfit!

josiefredericks Hope you don't mind if I ask you a sizing question for Spell. I'm looking for a dress for my step daughters fall barn wedding in Atlanta. I love the way Spell dresses look, especially for an event like this but I am stumped by the sizing. I am around a 12 - 14 and I understand an XXL is considered a 12. I've been losing weight and may be a 12 by October but who knows? I'm so confused about their sizes! Thanks so much in advance! XOXO

lyannawolfgirl @josiefredericks her lady! Noooo problem... their sizing is SO confusing. So first of all, I’d throw sizing (eg 12, 14) out the window. What you need to size around is your bust size (measurement around the fullest part) and waist size. Know these numbers in inches and find a converter online and convert to cm. Then figure out the dresses you’d like, and try to find the measurements online. For older spell you can often find them on callmethebreeze. An Australian website.

It's a barn wedding, very conservative (i.e. dry) yet in the barn so what the hell do I wear? LOL! I am definitely buying something I can wear forever so the overly prairie look doesn't work for me. lyannawolfgirl @josiefredericks oh i understand lady! Have you seen when the next drop will be out? You know what you could do? Bust measurement is like the #1 most important one to know for spell. So, You could use a length of string and measure it around the fullest part of your bust with bra on. Cut it and mark it at the right spot, the measure the string with the tape measure! Just a suggestion 😉

lyannawolfgirl @josiefredericks you know, the aurora gown maybe seems fall colorish? But something to remember, since spell is made in Australia, in the fall, it will be spring for them, so they may do more spring stuff! But I do think they try to cover both hemispheres in all their drops 😊

They did add a couple new dresses last week on-line that are super nice but the strappy dress is too summery for this wedding.

josiefredericks I actually found a FP dress for 65% off that will look good with the cowboy boots that I and everyone else will be wearing since it's in a barn. It was a steal so now I can just get what I want when I want it. Assuming it's not sold out, lol! I'm in love with the Pink strappy! It's gorgeous!! Have to save my pennies XOXO
