danburylane @norpster Hi there ! The very top to bottom arm pit part is 11 inches across. Going a bit lower to about halfway on the top arm part it is 8 inches across. Material is 97% Polyester and 3% Spandex. Not super stretchy but it does have some stretch and it should help. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
