I believe they are cotton although I am not 100% sure. I bought them several years ago at the Christmas Tree shop (they just closed the store last year). they add some festive "bling" to yor meal and they are washable. Changed our colors recently so they are here for you! They measure 12" by 13-3/4" (almost square). The 2nd side is white with the hem of red & white. Practically new!
