SENSATIONAL DESIGNER 1950's GREEN FELT WIDE BRIM HAT WITH METAL STUDS & FEATHERS

This is truly a show stopper vintage hat by the renowned MR. JOHN. It consists of a round crown surrounded by a matching color velour draped band. The wide brim is oval shaped, as it is wider at the sides. There is a folded, studded piece of velour starting at an angle from the upper side, and descending down and protruding below the brim. Stunning peacock feathers project back and down, making this a rare and amazing look. Lasbel: MR. JOHN Classic New York Paris John P. John was an American milliner. According to the New York Times, "in the 1940s and 1950s, the name Mr. John was as famous in the world of hats as Christian Dior was in the realm of haute couture".
