SENSATIONAL 1930s' BURGUNDY VELVET WIDE BRIM FEDORA WITH LONG PINK FEATHER

This is truly a sensational dark burgundy velvet fashion statement from the 1930s'! This hat is not stiff, but pliable, and it consists of a short, round crown surrounded by a wide brim which is slightly curved upwards at one side, and down at the other side. There is a draped band around the crown that ends in a cascade of bows at one side. From the bows there is a beautiful long pink feather that compliments the look. The inside of the hat is finished in pink satin. There is an elastic band attached inside the hat to keep the hat in a tilted position. Women’s hats in the 1930s covered the hair and were used to mysteriously cover one eye or the forehead. The front brim could be floppy or sturdy and was used to cover the forehead and eyes.
