MZ Austria Depose' Antique Pink Rose with Gold Greek Key Border 2 Oval Serving Bowls. This Rare and Very hard to find pattern is in Very good Condition. This piece consists of one oval vegetable size serving bowl and a smaller serving bowl. The pieces are Marked and or numbered with the Green MZ Austria two headed eagle. The Pieces have the gold identification mark and many of the pieces bare the individual numbers. There are minimal signs of wear and slight fade on the gold from use. There are no chips or cracks or crazing. See the last three pictures for dimensions and size. Some History on the MZ Austria Marks; Moritz Zdekauer purchased the company in 1884, and its porcelain pieces were marked “MZ Austria” until 1909. The MZ Austria marks were used by this porcelain factory. The company exported products to North and South Americas and the Dutch colonies. When C.M. Hutschenreuther of Hohenberg, Bavaria, Germany, took over the firm. Hutschenreuther renamed it Altrohlau Porcelain Factory and marked its wares “MZ Altrohlau” between 1909 and 1945.
