SEIKO world time mantle/desk clock - vintage

luxurious quartz world clock by Seiko with an incredibly elegant and timeless design in beautiful working condition!!! Made in the 1980's in Japan, this was one of Seiko's most unique clocks. You set your own time via the dial in the back but this clock also tells the time in various cities around the globe and shows Greenwich Mean Time and the International Date Line too. Possibly the best feature of this world time clock is that the second hand is actually a plane that travels around the dial. Housed in a solid brushed brass frame, it has smoked glass befind the clock and features the map of the world in brass behind the dial. Cities of the world are indicated on a brass ring outside of the numbers in 24-hour time. 12-hour time is also indicated with marks. This clock is in great condition both cosmetically and mechanically. There are some very minor scratches from moving over the years, but. It has it's original battery movement, fully working, powered by one C battery. It is a rare timepiece in fabulous, working condition. Back battery cover is missing. This is an ideal gift for the international business person, someone with loved ones around the world, or a world traveler. A truly rare find!!!
