Our group NEVER follows you followers its pointless... if all my followers are plus size why would I follow someones list with nothing but mens items .... they built those relationships I want to be followed because of interest rather thats guidance or the ability to shop.... a true friend doesnt ask you (demand) you to return shares by certain times and they dont target your customers

I saw ur share then saw this. It made me stop & think. I have a simple follow game (not sharing items) & it’s a fun way to meet ppl. I hardly ever drop prices on it, lol, but it’s my 3rd FG. The idea was they follow the people within FG. However, even if I didn’t have a game -anyone can follow my followers or anyone else’s followers & one would never know? Much appreciated post! I don’t participate in these, if only because the expectation of sharing, let’s say, 20 items from a group of random closets doesn’t work for me, or my customers! I only share listings I love, that are well done, that I would consider buying or selling... torn up stuff isn’t what my Pffs are looking for! Wow! I tried to do that too and couldn’t keep up with all the people on the list, nor did that give me the time to work in my own closet. I’ve been taking new pics and updating my own closet now every chance I get!! Yes, I do share with my own followers, existing and new ones. I’m not here so much to get mass followers as I am to share and sell my closet listings. Thank you for pointing this issue out to me!! You are the first I’ve seen who has spoken up about this. @crystalco WE DO NOT CONDUCT OR CONDONE any following games they are mostly traps which change your focus from your business to gaming.... while others are targeting your customers..... and you dont even realise it because you are sharing those same peoples listings for them while they attempt to make sales off your customers.... having a huge number of followers doesnt make you sales hard work getting to know your customers & dedication to your closet makes you successful!!!!

I’m gracious to everyone regardless. I never felt good about joining and their attitudes were pushy and dismissive of you didn’t join. So I was completely turned off and began to think it was the general culture of PM. I almost left PM for that reason. Thinking PM was BS. Then I went to a Posh party and discovered that there were some genuinely nice poshers! The rest is history 🥰. Thanks million my new friend! 😊 keep “kicking knowledge to the needy”! I’m Beyond grateful! 🙏🏽

I stumbled across your closet, & all your PM info, I had no ideaSMH, I recently got involved with follow/share games and it is extremely time consuming. My sales have not increased, quite the opposite. I am stopping the madness NOW! How can I be sure I am removed from “tag” lists?

@coffeebeansclst lol thats not at question have you seen our shares.... both here and in our closets, what many dont know is, when you have similar taste to someone who is sharing you there are many in the share groups that will begin to go into the bundles your customers have created or you have styled for them, they then go to the persons closet and share their items they always keep notes of size and brands they like in your closet, they then offer what they have lower then your price to take

@coffeebeansclst the sale away from your closet and into theirs.... that why closed groups are prohibited on poshmark as posh is fully aware of the attempts to poach the sales all the while you are to busy to notice because you are sharing their items and in return you customers are thinking if you are sharing theirs they must be a top notch seller like you who have taken time to build relationships with your buyers

@herrsonly1 you arent missing much lol we have over a million shares from our group and both our closets we share to help but not by a certain time or a certain amount there are some that are simply targeting and alot of them that do we never go and follow all your followers and would never even think about targeting you to make a a sale .... we would hope our items are what bring you in !!!!

@raelyneruff this platform is designed and based off sharing, you wont get to far without that concept, that doesnt mean you have to play the games however, you cant expect others to share you.... (the only way you become seen) if you have no plans of sharing back.....unless you had a market place before and you are bringing with you .... Thats what posh is all about I have over a mill shares sis has over 2 million and cleared $70K last year, this may not be the platform you want to use .....

@denimjunkies not sure what you mean by games. I have always shared per share but it’s gotten cumbersome. Some people share my whole closet (only 65 items) but then I have to share 65 of theirs. Is that the game? So I just posted that I would share 5 items for 5 items. Is that self defeating?

Any suggestions on what to do when people create a bundle (sometimes with 2 things sometimes with 10 items ) and then ignore you and your offer and don’t have the decency to communicate? @designdiva2020 if you go into their closet (if they are actually using their closet) and you see they have some very similar items same sizes, as the things you have they are liking and you reach out, and there is no responce... they may be targeting you, however keep in mind I love BUCKLE brands I hate the actual experience, so I shop online because you almost have to be rude to get rid of the sale staff lol.... acknowledging a person is good customer service & just POLITE

That is NOT the intent by all mass following games. I've been co-admin for a whole team of games for years. Yes there may be some out there that have ill intent but that is not how or why we started at all. We all are following each other's followers in the game & unless your customer base just followed your acct within the last week or less we would never see them bcuz only the last 1000 followers are what is shown.

I can assure you that the "Super Posher" Team of games have none of the ideals you explained above. We are helping others grow their followers to further expand the exposure their items get when shared & to help engage their closets more bcuz more activity = more sales.
I'm not trying to be rude or argue by any means I just don't feel it's fair to claim we are out to do harm when thats exactly the opposite of what we do.

@oneinamillionjj I appreciate that, however all info on this page has been verified, by posh and even poshmark HQ stated that they prohibits closed or private groups and for that reason we are going to stick with the info verified... as this is a posh permitted 2nd closet I just celebrated my 5 years in April this is Mel btw way....all users who took the challenge have doupled and tripled their own sales, by coming back to the business side of things

@denimcrush Yes that is correct posh doesn't allow private or closed groups & that's why we've always been open to everyone and anyone interested. Our only rule is that u must be posh compliant to be featured.
I understand what you're saying though. There are some poshers who play as many follow games as they can each day & that takes time to do when one could be focusing on a different aspect of posh.

Since Covid & "working" from home, I was participating in 10+ share groups/day. Extremely time consuming! My sales have been down A LOT during this time. It took my focus away from listing & sourcing, to spending HOURS every day sharing others closets. Mind you, I still share my closet a lot (over a million self shares) but I am so burnt out with this sharing addiction. I just unliked all share groups and am going back to basics. Wish me luck!! Thanks for confirming what I suspected all along.

I have read just about everything in this coset LOL Your time put into this, is very generous. I have 4 share groups in my closet, very small & many of the closets have been in them for yrs. We only share each others items/ not "blues." I agree 100%. I first joined every follow game that I could & then stopped because often noticed that some people just like the post & receive the followers, yet do not follow back etc. Following blues is encouraged my Posh, although can be done without a group.

Even with all the warnings, not much can be done to stop more than most of this. It is what it is, and to worry about it - distracts from selling & buying. It will be interesting though to see if Posh makes changes to address some of the mentions here that do concern some sellers. If not.. Just do your own, do your best and enjoy the ride. @denimjunkies So I want to make sure I understand what I’m reading on this thread.. it’s good to share Host listings at parties and Host picks etc... but don’t engage with Share/Follow Games? How do they target and poach customers exactly? This is where I’m confused. I always share but only if they continue to share back. If they stop, I stop. I continue to share like I normally do on my own.. new Poshers, and do my own thing...
