SAS ladies loafers in brown, like new. Size 8 S but not sure what that means?

Pair of loafers in brown in size 8 an not sure what the S represents. Ladies, I’m sure you’ll know, these were my moms an she passed recently. When she found a comfortable shoe, she bought in multiple colors! She loved SAS loafers. Will list other colors as well.
