carenlovesgucci @thboyle Hi Torrie 😄 How can you be sure by looking at a picture ? I AM BEING GENUINE AS I APPRECIATE HELP/INPUT!! When I get items from a consigner, I get as much info as possible.. That said.. I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT HORSEHAIR .. I am happy to get as much info as possible to get an accurate/detailed listing

thboyle @carenlovesgucci 1/2 I am a custom leather worker and work with all aspects of leather all day. You actually can't buy horse hair because that would mean their hide (skin and all) was collected; this is highly frowned upon in many countries. Italy is one of these countries.

thboyle @carenlovesgucci 2/2 That being said horse hide would be an extremely low quality leather even if you could "harvest the hide." I know this purse is of high quality and cowhide would be used because of that. Also I can tell simply because of the hair itself. I'm around horses and cows all day it's something I've observed way to much. Glad to help!!
