Be my retro valentine. This beautiful nude figure is in excellent condition and he really shines! This is an original Seated Man Sculpture by Jaru of California, 1981. The salmon pink "thinker" is iconic from every angle, and represents a wonderful example of Mid-Century Modern Ceramic sculpture. No chips or cracks. Glossy, crackled finish. Signed Jaru 1981. Measures approx 8" wide x 9" long x 9" tall. Jaru was founded by Jack and Ruth Hirsh in Culver City, California in 1950, and often sold the work of local artists and sculptors, then they designed their own pieces, which are still collected today.
