SALE Fun Vintage Jeweled Tote Owl Theme

SALE Fun find--a vintage jeweled tote purse with an owl theme. The tote has a nubby background in beige. It is edged in a cream tone vinyl with studs. The owls are embroidered in brown and cream. They have bead eyes and they sit upon a painted branch. Sequins and beads serve as decoration for background, the owl eyes, and in pistachio green-blossoms. A gold gimp edged painted circle highlights the larger owl. Inside is a hanging zippered pocket. The bottom is wood. It closes with twist lock. These totes are from the '60s/'70s. These were sometimes purchased as kits with the owner expected to provide the adornment with provided beads, sequins. This has no maker marks, but is in style of Enid Collins. Inside the pocket we found a calling card for Erickson Motel in Chippewa Falls WI--pre-zip code and area code. Interesting in itself, the card has a handwritten note saying "limonolgy" which is the study of lakes and bodies of water. On the back is a listing of the distance from Chippewa Fall to other Wisconsin towns. The vinyl top flap is partially separated from the backing behind it--represents a glue loosening and could be re-glued should one so decide. It remains sticky, but is not attaching.
