SALE 1940 Era Vintage Wedding Gown & Bolero Candlelight Flocked Satin

SALE Oh, so pretty 1940 era wedding gown. It has a matching bolero or short jacket. The flocked candlelight tone satin has a floral pattern which shows as more yellow than the cream. The dress has a plunge neckline at front with a ruched front panel. It is princess seamed until the modest V waistline to gathered skirt. The straps are in a muted butterscotch velvet featuring bows at the front (see condition report below). The back is squared. The dress closes with a 10" side metal zipper. Bolero--Curved bottom hem. Short 9" gathered sleeves with side gather. No maker label--this is possibly home tailored. The person we purchased this from stated that it belonged to her neighbor who brought it over one day. Although this is a wedding gown, it could be used for other special events with a vintage flair. Size: no size label Dress--34" bust; 28" waist; 8" from nape to back; 55" long to turn under hem. Bolero--33" across chest; 12 1/2" long Condition: NOTE--the velvet straps are frayed and should be replaced. The pretty little bows are in good vintage condition and can remain if one chooses. Note--the bows have straight pins serving as ? anchors --careful! There are no holes or stains, bottom of hem may show minor soil from normal use.
