Manuel Hoyungowa (1953-2011) learned silversmithing from Preston Monongye and began making jewelry in the 1970s Measuring Wrist up to 6 1/2" inches at 1/2" inch wide, weighing 25.38 grams 5 1/4" on the inside with a 1 3/8" opening Manuel Hoyungowa (ca. 1953–2011) Manuel Hoyungowa is from the village of Hotevilla on Third Mesa and has been an active silversmith at Hopi Pueblo since the 1970s. His hallmark is a strong raincloud. He has produced some jewelry with coral and turquoise, more in the style of Navajo work. He is a master silversmith which is evident in his traditional Hopi silver overlay technique jewelry.
