Meet Keeva🎀 The newest addition to our family☺️ This beautiful girl was dumped at a local dumping ground down near Houston😞 You can tell she’s had a rough go for her first three or so yrs😢 Not once did I consider hvng 3 Great Danes, but once I saw her on a rescue page I’ve been following that we found Zeke on, she just stole my heart💞 We are so lucky to hv been chosen to include her into our family. Now the boys hv a sister & she has a cpl brothers to stand up for her & help keep her safe💕

Too cute! I come from a family of danes!It’s really the only type of dog I have ever known since my childhood.unfortunately I had to put down myBrindle GD 2 weeks ago. he has his twin brother still here and he’s looking for him! just breaks my heart! This is the 8th dane I have had to say good buy too . 🥲 i’m no longer buying Euro G.Danes their lifespan is way too short. I have always bought from top breeders but I’m thinking of adopting!

I would prefer to adopt an older one pass the puppy stage because girl you know the puppy stage is hard they just love to chew everything🤣

@ashleyrogers23 Totally understand abt the short life span. Prob the toughest thing abt hvng a Dane😞 Miss Keeva is my 5th so far but technically my second rescue (kind of inherited Rex😄). My first two I also got from a breeder. I can’t say I’ll ‘never’ get another from a breeder but there are unfortunately SO many rescues that need homes puppies included:(

Plus my experience so far, and this might sound crazy, is that a rescues personality is so much more appreciative usually because they hv gone through something traumatic to get where they are😢

I found Zeke & Keeva on a site called Adopt-A-Pet which is pretty much a hub for many rescues, breeders, and even personal owners looking to find a home for cats & dogs. All you have to do is put in your parameters (filters) of what you’re looking for and how far away, and it’ll bring up a bunch of matches for you to choose from. If you save the search you’ll get email notifications when new matches are posted.

@ashleyrogers23 If I can offer any advice would be to be prepared to act quickly if you see a fur baby that fits what you’re looking for because more often then not the listings are not up for long. And with you hvng previous Dane experience will be in your favor letting the person in the other side know that you know what you’re getting into with such a large breed;)
