Alpaca wool is warmer and lighter than sheep's wool, durable, hypoallergenic, wrinkle free, odor resistant, natural, and easy on the environment. It does not prick or scratch like sheep's wool, making it appropriate for babies and those with sensitive skin. Baby alpaca is an extra fine grade comparable in softness to cashmere and does not really come from a baby - it is from the first shearing of a one-year-old adult alpaca.
