Pristine figurine by Royal Doulton of David Copperfield, the protagonist after which the 1850 Charles Dickens novel David Copperfield was named. The character is widely thought to be based on Dickens himself, incorporating many elements of his own life. It is the story of a boy's journey to manhood and the shaping of his perspective and maturity through the people that he meets. The moral lesson that David Copperfield could be said to impart is that kindness, sympathy, and generosity are more important and perhaps more desirable than wealth, power, and social position.
This collectable piece is in excellent condition and would be perfect for the book lover or Dickens fan!
Additional figurines available are Bill Sikes and Pecksniff, pictured in listing. Listing is for single figurine only.
