It is decorated by a golden Tara Brooch image, which is considered to be one of the most elaborate Celtic brooches. It was made in 650 to 750 AD and its discovery in 1850 fuelled a Celtic Revival in the mid-19th century. Made in the Republic of Ireland in a very fine white bone China.
