Complete set of 6 collectible Royal Doulton Christmas bone china plates. 1977-1982. Christmas 1977 was the first plate of the series. This plate has a hinged box that says "Merry Christmas Royal Doulton" in gold lettering inside the lid. Plate features a boy and a girl, partridges, snow dusted trees, and holly sprigs. Christmas 1978 features partridges, fruit, flowers, wreaths, and a girl child gathering holly near a snow-covered country church. Christmas 1979 features a young boy pulling a girl on a sled with dolls. There is a lit up christmas tree and a snow-covered church. Christmas 1980 features Saint Nicholas carrying a sack of gifts with a bear and a horn in his pocket. He is walking across snowy land in front of a church by a full moon. Christmas 1981 features a group of young Victorian carollers who sing by lantern light in a snow-capped winter scene. Christmas 1982 has jolly Santa Claus on a bicycle carrying a sprig of holly, a sack, and a basket full of toys. He is riding through a snowy field with three rabbits. This is the sixth and last of the collection. Each plate has embossed angels and bells on white bone china. Each of the plates come in their original boxes.
