Vintage from the 1970s This signed Royal Doulton large Falstaff Toby Jug is in excellent condition. NO chips, cracks, fleabites or damage. It looks brand new. NO fading or wear on glaze which still looks bright and shiny. The artist's signature is on the bottom with the date 26 July, 1979. This wonderful collectable Toby jug features the face of John Falstaff and was made by Royal Doulton. This wonderful jug has been retired so it is perfect for any one who collects Toby jugs or who is looking to start a new collection. Sir John Falstaff is a fictional character who appears in three plays by William Shakespeare. He is a character in the plays Henry IV, Part 1 and Part 2, where he is a companion to Prince Hal, the future King Henry V of England. The jug measures 6.25" high x 7.5" wide (handle edge to spout)
