Rowe Pottery Salt Cellar

This is the Rowe Pottery Historical 2004 covered Salt Cellar. The Salt Cellar form of pottery was often referred to as a 'fancy' stoneware flask. Popular from 1820 to 1860, this flask was flattened on the bottom to hold liquids easily in one's coat pocket. The Salt Cellar is also used as a home accent and was typically decorated or inscribed with the owner's initial. This is a 2 cup 5”w x 6”h Salt Cellar with cover. This is an absolute gem for hanging on, or sitting anywhere in a residence which adds a touch of warmth. Will gladly entertain all reasonable offers.
