The Shiva Eye Shell comes from a certain type of Snail found by divers of the coast of Thailand. They are sourced from the water’s sandy floor after the death of the snail. They are made from the discarded shell’s Operculum, which is like a trap door that the snail could retract into to avoid danger. Named after the Hindu God, Shiva, these beautiful shells are called Mermaid’s Money and believed to bring good luck to travelers and fishermen. They are also thought to bring peace and calm to the wearer, as does the relaxing rhythm and motion of the ocean.
